Hand
built by craftsman entirely in the USA since its introduction in 1911, our
No.1 furnace is solidly constructed of cast iron. But don't let the Old
World charm fool you - this rugged little furnace is a miniature workhorse,
ready for anything. It can heat a 2-1/2lb. soldering copper in 4 minutes,
and will run for 30 hours on a standard 20lbs. "BBQ" tank. 15" deep, 7" wide
an 8" tall, the No. 1 will labor tirelessly tucked in the corner of your art
studio, glass studio or fab shop. Better still, at just under 15 lbs., our
No. 1 furnace also lets you take your show on the road for field work, art
and craft shows, or even a traveling exhibition! (Road trip, anyone?)
The No.1
furnace can be used to quickly heat coppers for soldering stained glass,
sculpture, and ornamental iron or copper work, as well as for general metal
shop use to heat steel, copper, tin, and other metals. Rated at 12,000 BTUH,
the No. 1 furnace can be set up to run on either natural gas or propane.

includes shipping via UPS (VISA, MasterCard, & American Express customers in
the continental US only). Limited to stock on hand. Production costs
have unfortunately become prohibitive on this little gem, so we are
discontinuing this size and offering our remaining stock at significant
savings. This furnace is truly built to last, and the only "part" item you
will most likely ever need to replace is the ceramic insert ("No. 1 rest"),
which will remain in production. Last chance for "like they used to make
them" quality at a remarkable price! |
